Austin’s Only Nature Based Dog Boarding

After finishing my bachelor’s degree, I knew I wanted a life that didn’t follow society’s traditional path. I wasn’t exactly sure what that would look like, but I knew life was too short not to love what you do. As I ventured into the workforce and started an office job, I quickly realized something was missing. My heart and soul weren’t being fulfilled, and I wanted to create something meaningful. My biggest passions were, and still are, animals and nature. So, fifteen years ago, I made the decision to follow that vision and applied for dog bathing positions with the goal of starting a mobile grooming business.

My journey into the world of dogs began with grooming. I learned the ins and outs of caring for dogs and connecting with each one’s unique personality. Before long, my grooming clients began asking if I could watch their dogs in my home. Word spread quickly, and referrals poured in for in-home boarding and dog walking. Before I knew it, my business was flourishing. Once I was fully booked with my own clients, I left the grooming salon after five years to turn this into something real.

Then came the game-changer—off-leash hiking. The moment I started offering this service, I knew I had found my true calling. For the next ten years, I ran my business out of South Austin, saving and planning for the dream space I envisioned. I wanted more than just a business—I wanted a safe, open space where dogs could truly be dogs. Every time I was out hiking with them, I imagined the perfect property and what it would look like. Now we are Austin’s only nature-based dog boarding facility!
