🚨 PLEASE SHARE! Let’s find Jasper the forever home 🚨 PLEASE SHARE! Let’s find Jasper the forever home he deserves. ❤️🐾 Meet Jasper, my newest foster rescue. Just two weeks ago, Jasper was scheduled to be euthanized simply because his owner went to jail and his remaining family could no longer care for him. Thankfully, someone refused to give up on him. A kind young woman found Jasper wandering on a country road and took him in, despite already living in a camper with two large dogs. When her male dog wouldn’t accept Jasper, she spent days desperately searching for a safe place for him. After another placement fell through, Jasper was once again facing euthanasia. On Saturday night, I got the call asking if I could take him. Of course I said yes. ❤️ Instead of spending Monday at a euthanasia appointment, Jasper spent Monday getting one step closer to a better future. Health Update ✔️ Neutered ✔️ Up to date on vaccines ✔️ Currently being treated for heartworms (about six weeks left before retesting) What I’ve learned about Jasper 🐶 One of the biggest cuddle bugs I’ve ever met—he absolutely loves people. 🐶 Settles well indoors and isn’t destructive. 🐶 Great appetite and loves slow walks, sniffing every inch of the trail. 🐶 Around 5 years old—the perfect age. 🐶 Has done well with slow introductions to a few dogs, and I’ll continue learning more about his compatibility. I think Jasper would thrive with someone looking for a loyal best friend. He’d likely do best as an only dog or possibly with a calm female dog after proper introductions. While the majority of our pack tends to be medium to large dogs, we absolutely welcome dogs of all sizes and ages. We’re able to safely navigate each dog’s individual needs based on their energy level, size, temperament, and play style by utilizing multiple areas on the property and grouping dogs accordingly. We frickin did it! We just closed on the final 10 We frickin did it! We just closed on the final 10 acres we were hoping to acquire. I always said I wanted 30 acres within 30 minutes of Austin. Well… I didn’t quite pull that off 😂 But we did end up with 27.4 acres, 35 minutes outside of Austin. Most people thought I was crazy trying to make this happen, and there were definitely plenty of moments where it felt impossible. But I don’t think people fully understand how determined I can get once I have a vision in my head. After all, I am a Capricorn. It’s hard to put into words what this journey has meant to us. We honestly didn’t think this was going to happen for another few years, but when we heard some serious buyers were interested, we made some mad moves. Years ago, this was just a dream. A dream to build a life surrounded by nature and dogs. Through a lot of hard work, sacrifices, stress, and a few meltdowns, it slowly became reality. To some people, it may just look like land. But to us, it represents freedom, purpose, growth, and the future we’ve worked so hard to create. 15 years ago, I started out grooming dogs in South Austin with a vision for something bigger. Now somehow we’ve built a life where dogs can run free on 27.4 acres of beautiful Texas land, surrounded by nature every single day. That feeling is pretty hard to beat. There’s a trend going around right now saying “not There’s a trend going around right now saying “not all daycares are created equal,” and honestly, with everything going on in Austin lately, I felt like hopping on that conversation. On social media, we often show the fun adventure side of day camp — the hikes, swimming, exploring, and happy dogs running around. But what you don’t always see is what comes after all of that. After a full morning of hiking, swimming, sniffing, exploring, and playing, we all come back inside to rest and decompress. The dogs spend time cooling off in the AC, relaxing, and recharging before heading back outside later. Healthy daycare should never be nonstop chaos from open to close. Dogs need structure, guidance, and rest just as much as they need exercise and stimulation. The downtime is just as important as the adventure. #Austin #dogsofinstagram #dog #adventure #dogs

MEET DOC & WYATT! 🐻‍❄️🐻‍❄️ I am now the legal own MEET DOC & WYATT! 🐻‍❄️🐻‍❄️ I am now the legal owner of these two Great Pyrenees brothers. As much as I want to keep them, we already have 6 dogs, so I’m searching for the perfect home for them. Chris and I named them Doc and Wyatt, but they do not know those names yet. INFO: • Both males • About 1 year old • Not neutered • Likely littermates • Extremely human-friendly • Have not been tested with other dogs yet (not vaccinated) THEIR STORY: These boys showed up at our property on Sunday 1/11. Chris walked them off while I had client hikes to start… and they came right back. I made a post in our local Facebook group and people commented that they lived on a loop about a mile away. We tried loading them into the truck, but they weren’t having it, so I sat in the truck bed with food while Chris slowly drove them over a mile toward what we thought was their street. What we saw on that road broke my heart… loose cows, tons of loose dogs, and multiple litters of puppies no older than 2 months. It was devastating. With tears in my eyes, we sped off praying the boys would find their home. After finishing a client hike, I had to head into Austin for an appointment. On my way back, I decided to pass our house and go back to the loop just to check on them — but I didn’t make it past my gate. The boys were back. I posted them in the Bastrop Lost & Found Pets Facebook group and they slept in our driveway all night. The next morning, the owner messaged me saying they were his dogs. I told him they weren’t contained but were still on my property. When we saw them again around 10 AM, I offered to contain them so they wouldn’t get hit by a car. He said he was on his way… hours later, he finally arrived. He didn’t get out of the car to greet them, didn’t know their names or even their genders, and the dogs were absolutely terrified and refused to go. My heart dropped, but I didn’t have a choice. WAY OVERDUE PUPDATE 🐾 Remember the adorable stree WAY OVERDUE PUPDATE 🐾 Remember the adorable street siblings we picked up a week before Thanksgiving? After the brown male was adopted, one of my amazing clients just couldn’t bear the thought of the black female being without him. Her family came in and took her home. LOLA (formerly Sable) now has two big brothers watching over her, three human siblings who absolutely adore her, and parents who think she’s the greatest thing ever. A few days later, the brown male had to be returned to me. It was a really sad situation, tears were cried, but it wasn’t anyone’s fault. As promised, I gladly took him back. So… we gave in and decided to keep RUSTY. ❤️ The best part is I’ll still get to see Lola every week since her brothers come here, which means Rusty gets to see his sister too. Honestly, this is the best possible outcome…if I’m being a little selfish. 😅 #puppies #siblings #rescue
